Our Story

Our Fish Farm

My wife and I purchased the game farm on September 30th of 2008 and the whole Sackett family has been working tirelessly on it ever since. Our first goal was to provide the highest quality perch possible and I believe we have done that. We have researched and found a high-quality strain of perch and a plant-based feed with the right amount of proteins and fatty acids for our fish. The fatty acids (DHA & EPA) provide benefits to several diseases including asthma, cardiovascular disease autoimmune disease, depression, ADHD, and cancer.

We at Wisconsin Perch are always looking for any new advances to raise our perch that will be useful and profitable for our business and our business customers. To farm-raise a yellow perch to market size, it takes about an average of 16 months. A typical day on our farm consists of testing PH of water and making any necessary adjustments, consistently checking water levels and feeding our fish, extracting the fish for sale and shipment, and contacting our customers and distributors regarding inbound and outbound shipments.

We understand the tools needed to build a successful fish farm and our employees all have a background in farming. We have maintained our relationships with our business contacts and have successfully marketed and have sold products to several local businesses in the Wisconsin area. Our team remains up to date on the latest industry trends and moves of the market to ensure a strong family business. Raising our fish properly is our specialty and we guarantee your business the highest quality products.

Try our local sourced fish…our excellent customer service comes with every order. You won’t be disappointed.

  • We bought several pounds of Doug's perch for a backyard fish fry for our company employees.  We couldn't have been happier with how well the fish tasted. Just as good as a shore lunch in Canada!  Another successful company function in the books!
